Colum Whelan
(FCMA CGMA)
Managing DirectorColum is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, having qualified in 1990. He gained over 15 years’ experience in Irish business, such as Irish Biscuits, Bewley’s, Digital and Sharptext, before forming a Management Accounting practice in 1995. This business flourished and is now Guardian Management Accounting.
He was president of The Dublin and District Branch of CIMA in 2006. He has also been Chairman of the Members in Practice Committee of CIMA from 2000 - 2006. In addition he represented CIMA on the CCABI Taxation Committee in 2005/6.
He is a member of the Networking Group Business Network International - BNI (www.bnifitzwilliam.com).
Colum acts as non-executive director and Part time Financial Controller for a number of Guardian’s clients. His expertise is in providing business advice and has a particular strength in start up’s particularly in the technology sector.

He has a passion for cars, allotment gardening and tennis, and he is also a keen supporter of Leinster Rugby. -
Keith Doherty
(FCCA)
DirectorKeith is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He completed a BAcc honours degree in University of Dundee. Keith has spent most of his career working for a number of small and medium sized audit, accountancy and tax firms in Ireland. He has experience in many industries including professional services, IT Services, construction, property and the charity sector, He joined the practise in 2021 and specialises in consultancy, financial accounting and reporting, producing management accounts and taxation services.

He is an avid follower of most sports, in particular rugby, GAA and football. He enjoys various outdoor activities and spending time with his family. -
Michael Dempsey
(FCA)
DirectorMichael is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, having completed his training and exams in 2005. Michael has spent most of his career working for a number of small & medium sized audit and accountancy firms. He has experience in many industries including retail, manufacturing, and the charity sector. He joined the practise in 2021 and specialises in financial accounting and reporting, producing management accounts and taxation services.

He is an avid follower of most sports, in particular GAA and football. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing 5 aside football. -
Niall O'Donnell
(ACA)
Senior Financial AccountantNiall completed a BComm degree in UCD and a Masters in Accounting at Michael Smurfit Business School. HE is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, having completed his training and exams in 2002. Niall has spent most of his career working for a number of medium sized audit and accountancy firms in Ireland while also spending 2 years working in industry as a financial accountant for a multinational company.
He joined the practise in 2018 and specialises in financial accounting and reporting, producing management accounts and taxation services.

He is an avid follower of most sports, in particular GAA. He is a playing member of Wanderers GAA Club. -
John Brennan
(ACCA)
Financial AccountantJohn joined the practice in June 2020, a qualified accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, with 13 years’ experience as a Financial Controller in the retail industry and an Audit/Accounting manager across a range of industries. He provides accounting support to many clients in the area of accounting and Management Accounts.

John has a passion for soccer, an avid Manchester United and Ireland supporter. He also enjoys coaching his son’s soccer team. -
Evelyn Whelehan
(AITI)
Payroll SpecialistEvelyn is the longest standing member of the firm, having joined us in 2001. She is an Accounting Technician with over 25 years experience. Her particular strength is in the area of payroll and incomplete records.

She is a keen GAA fan and secretary of Faughs Hurling club. -
Geraldine Whelan
(AITI)
Accounting Technician / Office AdminGeraldine is a qualified Accounting Technician and has over 12 year’s experience with the practice. She provides book keeping services both on and off site to a variety of clients in the services sector. She is proficient with a wide variety of accounting packages such as Tas Books, Kashflow and Quickbooks. Geraldine also prepares payroll for a large number of our clients using Thesaurus.
When Geraldine isn’t crunching numbers...
She plays tennis and is Secretary of Glenalbyn Tennis Club. She also enjoys walking travel. -
Angela Hayes
Senior BookkeeperAngela joined Guardian in September 2013 after working as a bookkeeper for a number of different companies mainly in the retail sector. Angela has gained over 30 years’ experience in the bookkeeping and payroll field and can undoubtedly sort out any problems you may have.
She will get you in tip top shape and have everything running smoothly and reduce your stress levels. No problem to too big for Angela.
